Location
On the posterior midline, directly below the external occipital protuberance, in the depression between the origins of the trapezius muscle.
Indications
Posterior headache. Vertigo. Arterial hypertension.
Adverse Events
Subarachnoid hemorrhage and epidural hematoma. Puncture of the medullary cerebellum cistern.
